Exit NYFW

Well, the madness is over, and the whole fashion world has shipped off to London for round 2. So we figured the last street style inspired post should include the one thing that completes every outfit...
Accessories
There's no better way to create drama then with oodles of layered necklaces, a crazy cool clutch, to-die-for heels.
Drama. Drama. Drama.

And just in time, our Artisan Collection made of semi precious stones, sterling silver, and intricate antique medals arrived!

You can mix-n-match and layer; there's so many possibilities when it comes to accessories. It's a great way of expressing your personality and mood for the day. So whip out all of your jewels, furs, hats, gloves and start creating!

They make the perfect Valentine's Day gift too!
Hint. Hint. Gentleman :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The Good Ol' Trusty Boyfriend Jean

By now, almost everyone has a staple pair of boyfriend jeans in their wardrobe. They swooped in last year and have stayed around to become one of our best friends alongside spandex.
BF JEANS FOR LIFE!!!
This fashion week is no different. There were your basic Straight Legs and Distressed.
But now there's fabulous hybrids.
Patches on top of Patches and Fringe

There's an endless amount of possibilities when it comes to boyfriend jeans. You just have to find the perfect pair that fits you best, and we have the ones that could be your next BFF!

Today, we took our Angry Rabbit BF Jean and paired it with a super fun, oversized sweater. To make it a little more preppy we added a white blouse underneath and completed the look with Red Stripe Flatforms.

Another fun thing to do is wear Patch Leggings underneath your holy distressed boyfriend jeans. Here Linda paired our Sister Moses Star Patch Legging and rocked them underneath. She topped it off with our Black Lace Peplum Pullover and oversized scarf. Absolutely FAB!

So no matter if you want to dress them up or down boyfriend jeans are the perfect thing let your personality shine!

Subject: Kelly Framel. Occupation: Blogger.

After scanning the countless pictures from New York Fashion Week, one lady consistently pops up, Kelly Framel, or better known as the Glamourai. Fashion Blogger, Stylist, and overall cool chick. One of the first fashion bloggers to stand-out, she has forged her own path in the fashion by showing her minimal yet quirky styling and her amazing travels around the world. When it comes to her wardrobe, she recently stated,
Figure out which pieces you feel most like YOU in, then wear versions of those all day every day! For me that means great button-up shirts (cut extra long in the back, pretty please) paired with drapey harem pants. It's my go-to uniform! A little preppy, a bit bohemian...

Here she is rocking two different but similar looks for Fashion Week.

Now we know Harem Pants are not everyone's thing, but once you get use to the dropped crotch, they will seriously become your go-to next to leggings. You can make them preppy, edgy, urban, minimal, and so much more. And they instantly make you a fashionista.

This season we did a basic black knit Harem Pant that can be worn high or low waisted, which gives you even more options. At $38, you'll want to buy a couple pairs! We styled ours with our Sister Moses Long White Button Up, a long black vest and some chunky heels.

Linda took our Harem Pants and layered a long black dress and our Sister Moses Striped Spring Tee with our Combat Boots. For a pop of color, she wore a red furry scarf.

Let's make Harem Pants a statement in Kansas Sistas!

What's Fashion Week Mean for us Ladies Here in Kansas???

Fashion Week started in New York City a couple of days ago, which kicks off the month long charade of designers, models, celebrities, and bloggers that storm the cities of New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Now these shows are basically pointless to us everyday people. It's not like we can wear these looks to work and let alone afford them. I mean seriously.... Would you rock this to your office meeting today? :)
We may not ever wear anything straight off the runway, but we can definitely pull inspiration. And one of the greatest things to look at is the Street Style. Now there are some daring people out there that can absolutely wear anything and Kuddos to those ladies! But what we look for are those looks that we can interpret into our Midwest lives. So this week we are pulling inspiration from those models, bloggers, editors, and buyers that attend the shows that are the true fashion show.

To start off, we saw Karolina Kurkova strutting these amazing graffiti pants at the Prabal Gurung Show. She simply paired them with a black turtleneck and blazer. To complete the look she rocked an amazing Black Fur Jacket.
In this look, it's all about those pants! And Sistas, we got in some ridiculously FAB pants that rival those.

Erin wore the Sister Moses Denim Patchwork Joggers with our basic black turtleneck and staple blazer but added an extra layer of denim for a funkier look. She traded in the tennies for our Black Combat Boots to finish this ensemble off.

Linda went with our casual Sister Moses Two-Toned Harem Pants, basic gray turtleneck and navy hoodie.

We also have our Plaid Harem Pants that are a good option as well.

So don't let Fashion Week just be a fantasy. We can make you feel like a Street Style Star yourself!

Have a wonderful week Sistas!

Layer it Up Sistas!

We had a blast with Denise the other day layering up our signature dress!

First we paired our Lime Navajo Signature Dress ($65) with our $6.99 Fleece Leggings, Turquoise Knit Headband ($20), and our Black Sparkle Flat ($29). Throw on a Jacket and you are ready to roll!

For a more layered look, we put our Navy Hi-Lo Tank Dress underneath our Signature Dress. It instantly changes the entire look.

To completely switch it up for a more sophisticated look, we took the Navy Tank Dress and layered our Asymmetrical Navy Long Sleeve over it for a monochromatic feel. We jazzed it up with a Patterned Scarf ($24), Cross Necklace ($215), and our Black Mary Jane Wedges ($52).

Three completely different looks with 3 main pieces. You can instantly change your wardrobe with a couple of fun layering pieces. This is the easiest way to transition into spring. Come in and check out all of the colors and patterns!
